As a solo female traveler, I definitely have some favorite products that I highly recommend to other travelers. The items listed in this blog are items that I use myself and find to be necessities for my travel adventures. With Christmas rapidly approaching, you may be in need of some ideas for the travel-lover in your life. Hopefully, the recommendations below can give you some ideas.

Extra Long Cell Phone Charger

An extra-long cell phone charger is one of my essentials for travel. Sometimes, there is not a power outlet or USB port near the bed or chair in your hotel room. Before the purchase of my 10-foot charging cord, I have been known to stand at an outlet in order to use my phone. After a long day of travel or exploring, it can be difficult to stand for long periods of time. After a day of travel, all I want to do is lay down on the bed.

Portable Power Bank

Not all planes have power outlets to charge a cell phone and if stuck in an airport, it can be impossible to locate an outlet that is open. I have also used my portable phone charger when hiking, shopping, or general exploring. A cellphone is necessary when traveling, especially when traveling solo. A cellphone without a charge is useless.

Solar Powered Charging Bank

Even if you prepare for your trip with a portable charger, it is still possible to be caught with no charge on both the cellphone and the charger. This solar powered charging bank has come in handy in some of these situations. I don’t like to only travel with a solar charger in case I am stuck at night or on a very cloudy day. Having both options available makes me feel more secure, and there are situations where each can be helpful.

Electronic Hand Warmer

This electronic hand warmer is one of my favorite winter travel items. I keep one in each pocket when I am traveling somewhere cold. I have even used these on a plane in the summer with the air conditioning makes the cabin cold. The beauty of this particular item is it doubles as a charging bank.

Sound Machine

I always travel with a sound machine. Hotels can be very noisy, and a sound machine helps to drown out some of the noise. While you can download a sound machine application on your cellphone, I prefer to have a separate sound machine in case I do not want to use the battery on my cellphone. When traveling, you have to be prepared for various situations. I prefer to keep my phone by my bed because I travel solo so frequently. It makes me feel safer and more secure to have my phone next to the bed. This sound machine can be across the room while my phone is next to my bed, even if there is not a power outlet near the bed.

Sunrise Alarm Clock

This sunrise alarm clock is an amazing travel addition. It has a wind down and a wake-up function as well as an audible alarm. Jetlag can be brutal when traveling across time zones, and this sunrise alarm clock helps me combat this. It also has a night light feature that displays in different colors.

Cell Phone Tripod

A cellphone tripod is always a great gift. It can be used to record or take pictures as well as a stand for the cellphone. I use my tripod to take photos of me in amazing locations, record TikTok videos, and as a stand when streaming videos and movies on my cellphone on a plane or in a hotel room.

Gift Cards or Cash

When in doubt, you can never go wrong with gift cards or cash. I frequently receive gift cards for gas stations, fast food restaurants, Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon. Each of these are amazing ideas for the traveler in your life. Of course, cash is king and anyone can use the gift of cash.

Some of my favorite tech products for travel are listed in this blog. I have an Amazon store list with more of my favorite items linked below. I only link and recommend items that I have purchased and use myself. If you have any questions about the products in this blog or linked below, please feel free to ask!
